About The Triangle

The Triangle publishes each Friday during the fall, winter and spring and every other Friday during the summer. For over 75 years, Drexel University's campus has been served by one newspaper. This is The Triangle and although it's older than most of the people you know, it's always changing. New staff , new ideas, and even new sections appear from time to time. The Triangle's purpose on this campus is twofold. It is the responsibility of the staff that runs this organization to make sure that all members of Drexel University are aware of the news, sports, technology and entertainment on its various campuses, in University City, and globally. The second purpose of The Triangle is to serve as a location where students that are interested in journalism, writing, business, camaraderie and a host of other things can come to experience this in a relaxed but close to real world business.

We hope that whether you'll continue to be a member of our audience or if you decide to contribute to enhancing our campus newspaper you'll come to respect The Triangle not only as an entity that promotes the truth, professionalism, and unbiased reporting but that also brings enjoyment to all who set eyes on each front page.

From contacting prospective employers to ensuring that each article appears in the paper, business staff experience a close to real-world business environment at The Triangle. The Triangle is completely independent from Drexel University in that it does not receive and funding from the university. In order to sustain itself, The Triangle depends heavily on advertisements from local restaurants and take-out establishments, university departments, as well as national advertisers. Please visit the advertising section of this website if you are interested in placing an ad in our newspaper which has a weekly circulation of 5,000.

Although the size of our staff is over 80 in number, The Triangle is always looking for additonal Drexel University students to join its staff as writers, reporters, photographers, business representatives and production assistants. It's easy to become a member of The Triangle's staff. Just e-mail staff@thetriangle.org to get started.
